Easy After School Snacks

Back to school is right around the corner kiddo’s, and let’s face it, food is always on our minds.  I’m going to show you how to make 2 yummy and easy after school snacks! (Homemade granola balls and Peanut Butter Banana dip). Bonappetit!

Homemade Granola Bars

Ingredients:

-1 1/4 cup oats

-1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

-3 TBS honey

-1/4 cup coconut flakes

-1/3 cup chocolate chips

Combine all of the ingredients in a medium sized bowl, and mix it up! Once you are finished, place the bowl in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.  This gives the mixture some time to cool, and makes it easier to work with.  Once you take it out of the refrigerator, start to roll the mixture into little balls.  It will make about 15 granola balls! image

And there you have it, homemade granola balls. Yum!

Peanut Butter Banana Dip

Ingredients:

-1 banana

1/2 cup peanut butter

-1/3 cup sour cream

-1/3 cup powdered sugar

-1 tsp vanilla extract

-fruit of your choice to dip (I used strawberries)!

This next snack is SUPER easy! All you need is a blender and some simple ingredients.  I used the nutribullet, but any basic blender will do.  Add the ingredients into the cup, and blend it up. (Ha, see what I did there).

And now it’s ready to serve; enjoy!

Both of these snacks were delicious and VERY easy to make.  You can make them the night before, so when you come home from school they are ready to eat!
