"When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
when the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
when the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must-but never quit.”

I was rummaging through some stuff in my room tonight, and came across a book of poems I made when I was in high school.  Some poems were written by me (yikes)! and some were not.  This particular poem was not written by me, and unfortunately the author is unknown.  There are a few more stanzas in this poem, however I only wanted to share this little piece.

It’s so easy to become complacent in your everyday routine.  However, it’s extremely important to keep your end goal in sight, whatever that may be.  This poem reminded me that I’m capable of anything, and I hope it sparked that same fire in you!

Work hard, dream big and GREAT things will happen.

Fall Fashion!

I know everyone is going to hate me for this, but I CANNOT wait for Fall. The summer is unfortunately winding down, and it’s time for us to accept it and look forward to the next beautiful season.  I love everything about the Fall; the weather, the activities, the food, and most of all the fashion.

I put together a small collage of some of my favorite Fall fashion items.

Kimono’s are a huge trend, and this floral one is perfect for the cooler months.  How could you not love those colors?  I recently purchased one at Kohls the other day!

Next up, SCARVES! I don’t think I go anywhere without a scarf of some sort wrapped around my neck between the months of October and February. Circle scarves are my absolute favorite.  They keep you warm and complete any outfit!

Bags, bags, and more bags! I’m sure you all have that one bag you can’t live without; I know  I do.  I got a similar bag to the one above last year at Kohls, and I love it. The cranberry color reminds me of Fall, and Thanksgiving, and apple picking, and leaves and awesomeness.. Yes, AWESOMENESS.

Fall just wouldn’t be complete without a good pair of shoes; am I right? I personally love booties during this time of the year.  They dress up your outfit a little bit, but don’t kill your feet like heels.  My favorite place to shop for these is (shocker) FOREVER 21.

Now when it comes to jewelry, I tend to stick with more subtle pieces during the Fall.  The summer is the time to rock those bright colored statement necklaces, however during the cooler months I like to stick with simpler pieces.
